Empowering Communications has devised and made significant contributions to advocacy, behaviour change communication and social mobilization strategies adopted by Ministries of Health in the following countries; Angola, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Sao Tome-Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Swaziland and Uganda.
Topics of these advocacy, behaviour change, and social mobilization strategies have included: malaria elimination, malaria prevention, COVID-19 prevention and vaccination, TB and HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.


Empowering Communications has also developed advocacy strategies for international audiences. A sampling of these advocacy strategies follows:
- WHO’s global advocacy strategy for a new policy and set of guidelines for TB Infection Control: An Advocacy Strategy for Adoption and Dissemination of the WHO Policy on TB Infection Control in Health-Care Facilities, Congregate Settings and Households: RECOMMENDED ACTIONS AT INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL LEVELS.
- A draft Malaria in Pregnancy (MIP) advocacy strategy for the Roll Back Malaria MIP Working Group that was designed to promote both the in-country adoption of recommended MIP policies and their implementation. An advocacy guide for in-country resource mobilization to achieve the elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases.
